Trail West - Day 5

This morning (Thursday) was an early start. We headed out at 6:30 am for Wrangler breakfast. It was totally worth it! There are two groups at Wrangler breakfast. One group rides horses and the other group rides Big Red (red truck driven by Noah's Nana).Together, they all meet for a cowboy style breakfast full of good food, fun stories, and horses. Since Noah can't ride the horses, we rode Big Red. It was an awesome breakfast.

On Big Red headed to the breakfast. Anthony got to join us!
Please excuse my appearance it was early and cold!

The wagon set up for breakfast.
One of the best parts of Wrangler breakfast was that if you wanted French toast you had to catch it yourself with a plate of stick 'em (maple syrup).

Daddy and Noah getting ready for the toss. . .

Almost there . . .

Yeah . . . they caught it.

Mommy and Noah's turn.

Yeah, we caught it too! "Look Mama, I can do it with my eyes closed."
After breakfast, Noah had to go see the horses. He definitely has a love for them. That is all he wanted to see all week!

Headed to the horses.

Sweet horse! I think his name was Slick.

Future Wrangler!
Before we headed back to the Lodge, the staff told a fun story and it ended with Ben being the honorary professional pancake flipper. I think Corinne had something to do with him getting picked :). I am not sure Ben was paying attention because he didn't exactly flip it back into the pan.

Getting ready . . .

Big swing . . . Wait a minute. Where did it go?

Huh Ohhh . . .

It landed on the ground. It actually almost took out two little kids. Can you tell Ben has not made pancakes before :) Of course, the Aggie jokes began shortly thereafter.

Noah and Anthony

Family Pic . . . Love the view!
After breakfast, we headed over to Frontier Ranch to enjoy their pool, water slide and store. Noah loved the slide. He is too small to go by himself, so his Daddy and Mommy got the pleasure of going with him.

Us at the top of the slide.

Daddy had fun!

Mommy and Noah after the slide.
We ended with one of the best nights, the Square Dance. Unfortunately it was raining, so  the skits and dinner were moved inside. The skit was a perfect ending to a fabulous week (I will post the skit in a separate post), and the barbecue dinner was full of ribs, corn, sweet potatoe biscuits, calico beans, potato salad, watermelon, and apple crisp. It was a WONDERFUL meal. Certainly, one of my favorite meals.

Fortunately for everyone, the rain cleared up, so we got to do the square dancing outside. Yes, we all participated in the square dance. It was a blast!!! It was perfect for the entire family.
Family pic in our hats!

Starting the square dance.

Check out the lights on my boots! He loved his boots. Thanks Nana.

Line dancing with Anthony.

Two stepping with three people is not as easy as it looks!

"Put your bottom in and shake it all about" We were doing the Hokie Pokie here.

It was a great night!!! As Noah would say "Yee-Haw"!!!!
