Christmas - Part II

I realize that this post, too, is a bit late. Unfortunately, Britni took all the pictures on Christmas Day, so I don't have any pictures on my camera. I will get her to post some on here later, so that everyone can enjoy.

We had a great day on Christmas. This year was fun because this was the 1st year Noah understood the concept of Santa. Of course when he woke up, he was ready to go downstairs and see his treasures, which seemed to follow a CARS theme. After opening the gifts, we enjoyed a nice family breakfast and then played a baseball game outside with one of Noah's new gifts. Will & Nicole gave Noah a baseball set which converts into a tee. Needless to say, he has been practicing his baseball.

Anyway, we “let” Will, Nicole, & Britni win the game. There is always next year for us to be victorious :). Later that night, my grandparents, aunt/uncle, and cousin came over to my parent's house. We had a great dinner. It was a wonderful day.

The day after Christmas, my grandparents treated us to lunch in Williamsburg and then to Busche Gardens to enjoy all the Christmas exhibits and lights. There were over 5 million lights on display throughout the park and there was a different show at each country exhibit. Of course we were not adequately prepared for the cold weather, but it was a fantastic experience. Noah’s favorite was the Sesame Street Christmas show.

Later in the week, we took Noah to the Children’s museum in Portsmouth, VA. I think my mom, Ben, and I enjoyed it more than Noah did.

Daddy and Noah hanging out in the bubbles.

And finally, we went to a beautiful winery outside of Washington D.C. No trip to Virginia is complete without a visit to a winery. I know that it seems odd to take a 2 year old to a winery, but they really are some of the best places. We packed a picnic lunch, enjoyed the wine (well not me J), Noah got to run around, and we played baseball with Noah’s new set. Needless to say, it was a wonderful, relaxing afternoon.

Can't wait till next year!
