Elf Party!

Well, there is really no excuse for my lack of blog posting. We were just so busy around the holidays and trying to get back into schedule after the New Year that I didn't get a chance to post like I should, so I am going to try and get myself updated. :) Hope you enjoy!

At the beginning of December, we headed to Temple for two fun Christmas parties. First on Saturday, the Pitts' had a "Take your picture with Santa" Party. It was so fun!! The Santa was awesome. He looked so real!!! Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures, but they had a photographer there, so we got some cute ones of Ben, Noah, and I with Santa and a group one with the kids that was really cute. We had a great time, and we can't wait till next year.

On Sunday, Billy and Corinne threw an Elf Party. Everyone had a great time, and the decorations were phenomenal. The walkway to the house was lined with little elves and peppermints on a stick, and

the front door had this adorable wreath.

Inside, the house was decorated perfectly. The table was filled with fun Christmas dishes and jars full of candy and trail mix (which everyone got to take home). Each chair had a cute little stocking on the back and all of the trees were decorated perfectly. This was the first year Corinne did a white tree, and I really liked it. It looked great with her mantle, and the little red stockings that hung on the fireplace. One of the other trees had huge peppermints throughout it with fun bright ribbon and elves.

As you can tell our little elf was very excited!! All the children got these cute little hats with bells.

We started the party reading the "Elf on the Shelf" book. Throughout the party, we would move the elf around the house and let everyone try to find it. We will definitely continue the tradition of reading this book with Noah. It is just too cute!

Then, we went outside and had a gift opening contest. They raced around the trash cans and then opened a package. The first one to open the gift was the winner, and the winner was Brooks. He was the youngest one there, and it was so cute. Here he is!!

Next, we played pin the nose on Rudolph. Jenna did a great job!

Both of the games were lead by our adorable elves. They were such great sports and everyone loved them. We really appreciate everything they did.

We ended the afternoon with some great snacks. They had turkey roll ups, trail mix, rice krispie popsicles, grapes, and elf cookies. The best part, which I think the parents liked more than the kids, was the peppermint milk shakes. They were a huge hit!!

Everyone had such a great time, and it was so nice to see everyone. We don't make it Temple that often, so when we do and get to see such amazing people, we feel very blessed. Thank you so much to Billy and Corinne for throwing such a wonderful party and to our wonderful elves for being so patience and fun. Can't wait till next year!
