18 Months and Counting . . .

So, we have finally decided to start a blog to capture the wonderful memories we have made and will continue to make as a family. Noah is such a precious joy to us, and our lives have changed so much since he entered them. His life is full of people who love him, so, hopefully, this blog will help to keep everyone updated and to show him how much he is loved.

Noah is 18 months old and certainly full of energy. He does not like to sit still at all and would prefer to run in circles than sit and play with a toy. Naturally, with all that energy comes the most precious laugh (I may be biased on that one :) ). He loves attention (who doesnt, right?) and wants everyone to play with him. The picture below is a perfect picture to describe his attitude.



He is such a sweet boy though. I always say "he is a lover not a hater". I know most parents probably say that, but Noah loves everyone and everything. He is always trying to give people hugs and kisses whether he knows them or not.

In the last month, he has started saying/trying to say a lot more words. The following are the words he can say to date:

• Mama
• Dada
• Mimi
• Nana
• Papa
• Hi
• Bye Bye (this could be his favorite word. He says bye bye to everything)
• Ball
• Apple
• Banana "Nana"
• Sadie "Adie"
• Agua (for some reason he prefers "agua" to "water")
• Baby
• Please "Pease"
• Up
• Night Night
• Bowl
• Bus
• Bath Time "Bath Ti"
• Let's go

Noah loves food; he always has, and to be honest, he is not very picky. His favorite things right now are waffles, corn, hot dogs, juice, and any kind of crackers. Basically, he is a carb machine, so I guess it is a good thing he is so active :).

His favorite things/activities right now are as follows:

• Anything that involves cars, trains, planes or buses. He loves seeing them, reading about them, putting puzzles together, thanks to Kate eating off them (she got him this adorable plate set that he loves to eat off, and thanks to Nicole wearing them (she got him these cute pajamas with fire trucks, police cars, and helicopters.



• Sadie - He loves our pug, Sadie "Aidie". He chases her around with his lawn mower, tries to lay on her, and, of course, pulls her tail. He is always trying to hug her and throw toys at her. Needless to say, she is good trooper.

• Water - Whether it is the bath or the pool, Noah loves the water. (Kind of a scary thing for a mom). We will be getting swim lessons soon although he has learned to blow bubbles, so I guess we are off to a good start.

He is actually 11 months in this picture, but I love it.

• His Red Chair - Noah loves this chair. He sits in it, lays in it, reads in it, and attempts to drag it around the house. I guess it was a good purchase. He definitely likes for everyone else to know it is "his" chair since his name is embroidered for all to see. Yes, we are proud of the simple things!
